          Hiya Sati,

Please see https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-29396 for details on this bug.
It appears to affect certain meshes and happens when you cam in an out and the LOD changes.
It also appeats to be card and driver independant.

The workaround is to disable VBO: Avatar -> Preferences -> Graphics -> Hardware settings -> Untick enable open GL vertex buffer objects, however this will likely cause an unacceptaible performance drop, especially on Nvidia cards where VBO gives a good FPS boost.

Next time you see this effect though, can you disable VBO and see if this does stop it happening?

I think this is a critical issue, if not even a stopper. It's one of those things that gives you headaches, because it makes you tense the muscles around the eyes. Turning off VBOs isn't really an option in that respect, as you get headaches even faster with the lower framerates you get from turning off VBOs.

          Copypasted my reproduction:

When I cam around I see geometry that aren't supposed to be there flicker. It seems like there are stray vertices reaching for the cam. It flickers when I cam around, so I can't capture a screenshot.

This clip shows the same kind of effect:

I have seen this problem in multiple viewers on different AMD video cards. Also shows up in firestorm v4.4.0.33718 with the Catalyst 13.3 beta drivers. Only way to stop it is disabling VBO.

          Info from Kat Fetisov:

This affects meshes with only one material. Two or more materials and you're safe (so long as you leave transparency alone!)

I still get this problem in Firestorm Preview x64 4.7.1.45323 with the latest 15.4 beta drivers from AMD. I would not be doing anything and a mesh object attached to my avatar would just explode in an large odd shape for a moment then clears up. I have seen mesh objects not attached to me but on other people do the same. Sometimes I have to right click on an object on me or turn off VBO for a moment to clear it up when it does not clear.
